Hey everyone! Last year was my first Armchair BEA and this year I am a volunteer. I am so happy to be a part of the Armchair BEA team.

Let me start by introducing myself –

Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging? Where in the world are you blogging from?

I’m Chrissy! (Or Punk, I answer to either) I have been blogging for just about a year and a half. I got into blogging because there were some books I read where I didn’t agree with the majority of the reviews. I figured I’d throw my own opinion into the mix. Plus, ya know, there’s free books and stuff.

I am currently blogging from –

Describe your blog in just one sentence. Then, list your social details — Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. — so we can connect more online.

My blog is awesome. Is that a good enough sentence? Because I do happen to think my blog is pretty damn awesome. How about…my blog takes you into the world of young adult fiction. Any better? Though I don’t always stick to YA books. My blog takes you into the world if young adult fiction with the occasional dash of adult fiction. Eh? well..good enough I suppose. lol

What genre do you read the most? I love to read because ___________________ .

Young Adult fantasy/supernatural. I feel like young adult books are more imaginative. I know that’s not necessarily true, but I feel like that’s usually the case. I don’t want to read about real life adult problems. I have enough of those, I read to escape from them. When I’m reading I want to forget that the sink is leaking and the dog needs a bath. Reading about worlds/people/things/situations that couldn’t possibly exist definitely give me the break I need from real life.

Also, even though I’m in my early 30s, descriptive sex in books makes me laugh. I can’t help it. I can’t take sex scenes seriously and will often skim them. We need to come up with better words for sex and sex acts. Sex scenes in books always come off very porny and real life sex is not like porn. So, I stick to books that don’t have sex, or just eludes to sex.

What was your favorite book read last year? What’s your favorite book so far this year?

My favorite books last year was Every Day by David Levithan. That book has stuck with me and I recommend it to everyone. This year, it was probably the Veronica Mars book because I’m a huge Veronica Mars fan and getting a movie AND a book after a 10 year absence was amazing. I can’t wait for the next book!

What book would you love to see as a movie?

I’d love to see the Girl of Fire and Thorns series made into a movie, but I know they will miss it up so STAY AWAY HOLLYWOOD.
